Blue Pool

The Tea Rooms were built in 1935 of sand and lime bricks from the local Beacon Hill brickworks with a Canadian cedarwood shingle roof, allowing the building to blend in with its surroundings. Many of the fixtures and fittings are original including the pine floors.

Enjoy yourself in our nostalgic Teahouse with our delicious homemade scones.

We serve Morning Coffee, and Traditional Cream Teas with freshly baked scones, which can be enjoyed outside on the terrace. We also have a selection of hot light lunches, including Cottage Pie, Jacket Potatoes, Quiche, Omelettes and items from the specials board.

Bovington Tank Museum

The tank was a British invention that changed warfare for ever when it was introduced in World War One – and Bovington has been the home of the tank ever since.
From the Somme to Tiananmen Square or D-Day to Desert Storm the tank has played a part in shaping history – and it continues to do so today. This unique collection of over 300 vehicles is regarded as the best in the world and includes the world’s first ever tank, the feared German Tiger tank and the modern Challenger 2.

Kingston Maurward Gardens & Animal park

Kingston Maurward Gardens and Animal Park are a well established tourist attraction in Dorset attracting over 30,000 visitors a year.
The Gardens are grade II listed and whether you are a serious gardener or just someone who is looking for a beautiful place to visit they will not disappoint you.
There is a huge variety of plants and trees to see and don’t miss the walled garden which is a really peaceful spot. The gardens are tended by just 5 full time gardeners with help from students on various types of Horticulture courses.
The Animal Park was established in the early nineties and offers the Animal Care students an excellent facility to care for a very diverse range of animals.
The Park has recently become a member of the Rare Breeds Survival Trust and will extend its range of rare breeds and breeding programmes over the coming months. Children love our friendly animals and the Park is an excellent place for them to play and have a picnic.
